Our Work
What We Do ?
Save A Child In Africa Initiative (SACIA) is a non-profit Organization focused in children mental health, girls menstrual health, drop-outs basic education, gender based violence and poverty caused by the effects of HIV. SACIA Initiative primary region is Nyanza region ecspecially in Homabay and Migori where there is high prevalence of HIV.
Girls Menstrual Health
Through collaborative partnership, SACIA Initiative procured sanitary towels to the beneficiaries through the office of Homabay women representative.
Sanitary towels are the key to in ensuring retention of the beneficiaries in school and also helps them live dignified lives
Previously, the beneficiaries were forced to miss school during their menstrual period since they couldn't afford sanitary towels. These breaks could eventually force some of them to drop- out of school all together thus leading to forces marriages and early pregnancies.
Education is one among the basic need in this generation, which is why, SACIA initiative is committed in retention of the beneficiaries in school.

Let's Join Hands and Address Issues Facing Our Societies
ADRESSING GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
Women from Nyanza region experience oppression and male domination. SACIA Initiative, therefore, addresses and intervenes the situation at hand by creating awareness and taking the women through how to deal with the gender-based violence.

MEDICAL camp drive campaign
SACIA Initiative being relatively new CBO, majority of the activities so far conducted have been through collaborative partnership with Key stake holders and partners with Mbita sub county.
We have been able to support 19 beneficiaries through a mega medical drive initiated by the sitting governor. On this drive, the beneficiaries received bio-medical services such as;
- HTC
- ANC
- PNC
- Fistula and Cervical cancer screening
-Psychological support
Majority of vulnerable young people do not have access to HIV, gender-based violence and unintended pregnancies prevention services. As SACIA Initiative, our structure is built on ensuring the beneficiaries have access to these services.
